About this curriculum
Children at Manadon will apply and develop a broad range of skills and sports. They will learn how to enjoy communicating, collaborating and competing with each other and develop an understanding of how to improve in different physical activities and sports whilst learning how to evaluate and recognise their own success.

Year 6 worked with peers in the opposite class to complete their final piece art work (drawing a face) in the style of Pablo Picasso. They used a variety of 2D shapes and straight lines.

Mr Williams' football club is not on tomorrow (as stated on the original letter) due to a cross country competition.
The cross country is currently still on. The weather looks good tomorrow, though the ground at Staddiscombe will likely be very muddy!

Year 6 invite you in to read your child’s writing on Monday 21st October 3:15-3:35pm.
How it works: your child will collect you from the playground, please come up to their classroom where they will share their amazing independent writing with you.

Year 2 have been learning about the human and physical features of Plymouth UK and Plymouth USA for our geography today. We enjoyed looking at google maps and finding out about how the places are similar and different, then sorting and categorising photos of natural and man-made landmarks from both places.

On Friday 18th October 2024, all children and staff are invited to wear mufti to school.
Please donate a children’s book (second-hand and in good condition) if you can, for our school library.
Please note, we are not looking for new books so please don’t go and buy a brand-new book, we are looking for pre-loved books.

Year 2 Reading Club tonight in the school library 3:20-4:00pm.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
This is a chance for our parents and carers to see our school library, choose a book with their child, sit down and enjoy reading it together and ask any questions that it you may have related to reading at home or in school.
Tea and coffee provided for adults and juice/biscuits for children.
